Eames Soft Pad Chair was designed in 1969. In terms of construction and design it is identical to the Aluminium Chair. The attached padded sections form an interesting contrast to the elegant aluminium frame. The pads make the chair softer and more luxurious, without detracting from its transparency and clear lines. Chairs and armchairs with medium-high or high backrest, with or without armrests, with leather cushioned sections. Side sections, flexible metal sections, armrests and base of polished or chrome-plated die-cast aluminium. Upholstery: cushioned sections in nappa leather, sewn onto the frame. Base available in fourstar version, swivel or non-swivel, with glides for soft or hard floor coverings.
