Baleri Italia | Bentz Table

"When tables and chairs come together there is preponderance for the clashing of legs - physical and visual. The form of the Bentz table base derives from a simple profile swept along a down and up trajectory. In doing so, the table creates an airy and sculptural central focus with the functional characteristics of a columnar base. The resulting surface and volume, seeks hierarchy and interplay between the actual legs of the people seated across from one another - shielding in a concavity, or exposing a view and a passage. The applied reflection and colour draw in and on the environment to further establish an object with placement, rather than the placement of an object". Jeff Miller
