We aim to take a sustainable approach to our business operation in the furniture supply and procurement industry. This addresses (but is not limited to) waste, energy, water and transport pollution. This policy addresses the following aspects of our environment impact: Energy Emissions produced by running our office are offset. Carbon energy use through implementing switch off policies and green energy tariffs. Zoned, movement sensitive lighting controls.
Pollution Staff encouraged to take public transport to business meetings Carbon emissions from business travel taken into account in the carbon offset cost. Cycling to work is actively encouraged.
Waste Reduction, re-use and recycling of consumables including paper, glass, cans, toners and plastic. Double-sided printing on recycled paper to reduce paper wastage. Re-use and recycling of unwanted furniture. Compliance with Duty of Care regulations.
Water Materials We endeavour to continually improve our environmental performance and undertake a review of this policy on a sixth-monthly basis. Aprčs are compliant with all relevant legislation. The Managing Director is responsible for implementing this policy which is freely available to all staff, clients and contractors. |
